Needless to say my diet is going from one extreme to the other.

| For those who don't know, here is a very basic description of The Whole 30 |
Weight loss is absolutely not the goal. The book even says you are not allowed to weigh yourself the whole 30 days. This diet is completely about health; mind, body, and spirit. Choosing to eat what is best for your body and letting the good choices impact our whole life. (At least, that's what it is for me.)

This diet is also about inspiring others. (Talking about you ladies!!) It's like when you find something in your life that you absolutely love, and you are just bursting at the seams to share it with everyone you know and love because you want them to experience it too. Getting/being healthy does that for me. When I started reading the Whole 30 book, I literally wished I could buy a copy for everyone in my life and have them read it, because it truly is life changing.
Another amazing factor in us doing this right now is that we have a vegetable garden that is overflowing with ripe tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, green peppers, banana peppers, and herbs. Doesn't get more fresh than that!
I am an overall healthy person, even when I'm not eating healthy. I don't struggle with diabetes or joint pain or psoriasis. The main problem I have that I'm hoping this diet gets rid of is bloating and gas. I have had both of those 60% of the time in the last 3 weeks and I'm so over it. I am also hoping to have a little more energy to chase the kids around.
So here's to a 30 day journey that I hope will help inspire you to make your own healthy life choices.
